The government has suspended Herman Halushchenko: who will head the Ministry of Justice.
According to inkorr.com: Today, November 12, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision to suspend Herman Halushchenko from the position of Minister of Justice. This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko on the Telegram channel 'Khvylia'.
Suspension and New Leadership
At an extraordinary meeting that took place today, a decision was made to suspend Halushchenko. His deputy Liudmyla Suhak, who is responsible for European integration issues, has been appointed as the acting Minister of Justice.
In his reaction to this government decision, Halushchenko agreed with the suspension, considering it a civilized and correct step, and stated that he is ready to defend his position in the legal sphere.
Corruption Scandal in 'Energoatom'
At the beginning of November, the NABU and SAP revealed a corruption scheme in the NAEC 'Energoatom', involving Halushchenko, Timur Mindich, and Oleksiy Chernyshov. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the fight against corruption in 'Energoatom' is a priority task.
The new leadership of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has appointed Liudmyla Suhak as the acting minister. Herman Halushchenko supported this decision and expressed his intention to defend his reputation within the legal framework.
The suspension of Halushchenko occurred against the backdrop of active actions by law enforcement agencies regarding the investigation of corruption schemes in state companies.
