UN Refugee Agency Announces Financial Aid for Trostianets Community
According to Novyny.live: The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) will begin providing cash assistance to residents of the frontline Trostianets community in Sumska Oblast on March 9, 2026. This program is a critical support measure for a region heavily impacted by the ongoing conflict. Each family member will receive 3,600 Ukrainian hryvnias per month for three months, amounting to a total of 10,800 hryvnias per person. The initiative targets internally displaced persons, relocated individuals, and refugees facing difficult living circumstances.
Eligibility and Application Details
To qualify for the UNHCR payments, applicants must meet specific criteria. A primary requirement is that the income per person in the household must not exceed 6,300 hryvnias. This condition helps identify the most vulnerable segments of the population.
- The application address in Trostianets is 2A Zavodska Street.
- A mobile registration team will be accepting applications from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
- For preliminary registration, individuals can call 063 182 68 38.
Separately, in 2026, the Ukrainian state is also providing payments for internally displaced persons, offering 2,000 hryvnias for adults and 3,000 for children. The deadline to complete the identification procedure for this state aid has been extended to July 1, 2026, providing additional time for citizens in need of financial support.
This UNHCR initiative is part of a broader assistance program aimed at supporting those affected by the war. It offers families in severe financial straits the means to cover essential needs.
