Already on the arsenal — Shmyhal reacted to the transferred Abrams to Ukraine.

Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the receipt of a batch of American Abrams tanks is an important reinforcement for Ukraine. He expressed gratitude to the government of Australia for its support in the confrontation with the Russian Federation.

The new defense minister noted that most of the transferred combat vehicles are already in the hands of the Ukrainian military. He added: 'Thank you to the Government of Australia for its strong support and resilience in standing by Ukraine during this difficult Time.'

On Saturday, July 19, Australia transferred a batch of Abrams tanks to Ukraine, which constitutes a significant part of the planned 49 units. The remaining tanks will be delivered soon. It was also previously reported that the United Kingdom may join Germany in purchasing weapons from the United States for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The delivery of American Abrams tanks is an important step in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. Support from Australia and the possibility of joint purchases with other countries indicate solidarity and backing from partners amid the escalation of the situation in the east of the country.
