Traffic Changes in Odesa on June 29 Due to Repairs: What You Need to Know.
Public Transport Adjustments in Odesa
According to Novyny.live: On June 29, 2023, Odesa will see temporary changes to several public transport routes as a result of scheduled repair work and a planned power outage. Drivers are advised to plan their trips ahead of time, as these disruptions may affect travel across the city.
Specifically, tram route No. 1 will be suspended from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Tram No. 7 will continue to operate, but with a shortened route: it will run from the 11th Station of the Lustdorf Road to Kherson Square. These adjustments are prompted by maintenance activities on key sections of the road network, including:
- Knyazya Volodymyra Velykoho Avenue,
- Academika Zabolotnoho Street,
- the intersection of Mykolaiv Road and 7th Peresyp Street,
- Mykhaila Boltenka Street, Kosmonavtiv Street, the 7th Station of Lustdorf Road, and 3rd Aeroportovsky Lane,
- the intersection of Chubayivska Street and Heorhiya Lyps'koho Street.
Additional Updates and New Regulations
Starting June 28, Ukrainian Railways will introduce an extra regional train running between Odesa and Karolino-Buhaz. This new service is designed to make travel easier for passengers in the area, especially while road repairs are underway.
Additionally, a new traffic sign has been installed in connection with these changes. The fine for violating this sign is set at 340 hryvnias. Motorists should stay alert and follow the updated rules to avoid penalties.
The public transport changes in Odesa, triggered by repair work, are part of a broader effort to upgrade the city's road infrastructure. The introduction of the extra regional train is a key step in ensuring convenient travel for both residents and visitors during the road maintenance period.
