In Odessa, a 23-year-old man was detained by the police for offering his services for $12,000 to influence the decision of the military medical commission. He promised to exclude a person from the records at the territorial recruitment center. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Odessa region.
The perpetrator assured that he had connections with officials of the military medical commission, the Territorial Recruitment Center, and the Border Guard Service. He offered to help remove a person from military registration, justifying it by their health condition. Also, he promised to help this "sick" person leave the country without obstacles.
«Law enforcement officers detained the suspect in procedural order immediately after he received $5,500 of wrongful gain. The money was seized as evidence», - according to the police.
The price for such "services" was $12,000. The perpetrator found a "client" and demanded an advance of 4000 UAH from him to start the document preparation process. Then, the "client" was supposed to hand him $5500 and their personal documents. However, the perpetrator started demanding even more money, threatening to send the applicant to the front line.

If he is to be held accountable for the crime, he faces up to eight years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. The police will also investigate any possible accomplices and individuals who used his services.
Recently, several similar incidents have occurred involving attacks on representatives of the territorial recruitment center. At the "Okean Elzy" concert in Kyiv, there was also an inspection of military registration documents. Several men were detained since they had issues with the documents or refused to show them.
A tragic incident also occurred inside one of the premises of the pre-collection point for conscripts - a man's body was found there, and judging by the signs, he committed suicide. There were no signs of violence on his body.
