In Ukraine, some medical services have become paid: list.
The government of Ukraine has established that from January 1, 2025, some medical services in state and communal medical institutions will be paid. This concerns services that are not included in the Medical Guarantee Program funded by the state. In particular, this concerns visits to a doctor without a referral, medical services provided under contracts with legal entities, as well as services provided in security and defense sector institutions and the State Administration of Affairs for patients who do not belong to the designated contingent.
Payment for paid services will be made to the hospital's account at the established rate. In addition, patients will have the opportunity to pay for additional services, such as home medical assistance (if not due to medical condition), the ability to choose a doctor for planned specialized care, and stay in more comfortable rooms upon request.
Hospitals must publish a list of paid services and their tariffs, which can be found on the official websites of medical institutions and on information stands in hospitals.
The video explains to Ukrainians which services will remain free and for which they will have to pay.
It is worth reminding that Ukrainians living in Poland risk losing free medical assistance.
