A new profession has officially appeared in Ukraine.
Ukraine has approved a new professional standard for deminers.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
The National Qualifications Agency has approved a new professional standard for deminers – "Operator for the detection of explosive objects (deminer)".
Previously, the country did not have a unified standard for deminers, which complicated the training process. But now the new standard will allow the creation of uniform training rules, as well as attract attention to humanitarian demining of veterans and facilitate their integration into the Ukrainian and international spheres.
Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ihor Bezkharavainy stated that the new standard will significantly expand training opportunities and help obtain an internationally recognized qualification.
After the adoption of the new standard, the following changes will be made:
- The profession will receive an official code, which will be recognized at the state level.
- A clear payment system for workers in this field will be established.
- It is planned to develop an educational program for the training of certified deminers.
Director of LLC "Sherif-Demining" Yevhen Antypenko noted that people with disabilities, including amputees, can work as deminers in the non-technical survey of the territory using drones and other equipment. This creates long-term opportunities for work in this field. There are many opportunities for deminers in Ukraine, and it is important that veterans can use their skills in peaceful life.
Special thanks to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine for the initiative to develop the professional standard for deminers and the National Qualifications Agency for recognizing the need for the standard and promptly handling the documents and support
The developed standard provides for five levels of training, from basic for non-technical survey to the level for demining territories and buildings.
Let's recall, Zelensky showed off the F-16 and talked about the "shield of Ukraine".
