In Ukraine, requirements for pensioners' work experience will be tightened: what will change in 2025.
According to the new rules, the requirements for insurance experience for obtaining a pension at the age of 60 will be changed in Ukraine. Now it is necessary to have at least 32 years of insurance experience, but the pension age will remain unchanged - 60 years.
Also, for those who plan to retire at the age of 63, the minimum required experience will be 22 years. However, it should be noted that the requirements for experience will increase annually until 2028. 'Every year, a person intending to apply for a pension after reaching the age of 60 will have an additional 12 months added,' the material reports.
For citizens who have reached the age of 65, the minimum insurance experience is 15 years. In case of lack of necessary experience, there is an option to purchase it additionally.
The cost of purchasing experience in 2025 will be 44% of the minimum wage for each month. This means that one month of experience will cost 3520 UAH, or 42.2 thousand UAH per year.
If the retirement is postponed - if a person decides to work longer than the term established by law - the amount of the pension payment will be higher.
It should be noted that a pension for age can only be obtained after submitting a personal application by the citizen. The application can be submitted no earlier than a month before reaching pensionable age and no later than three months after obtaining the right to a pension.
Experts recommend considering that if retirement is delayed and work continues, the amount of pension payments will be larger.
