Citrus fruits remain popular among Ukrainians despite the end of winter. Oranges and lemons have become a favorite choice for those who pay attention to their health and want to eat healthy foods. Here are the current prices for these fruits as of March 26.
The average price for oranges in February was 63.34 hryvnias per kilogram, and in March it rose to 71.40 hryvnias. The cheapest oranges can be purchased at the 'Auchan' chain for 53.90 hryvnias per kilogram.
As for lemons, their price is even more interesting. In February, the average price was 72.64 hryvnias per kilogram, and in March it increased to 105.37 hryvnias. The lowest prices for lemons can be found at the 'Metro' chain, where they are sold for 88.30 hryvnias per kilogram.
Despite some price increases, citrus fruits remain an excellent source of vitamin C, which helps boost immunity and regain energy after a long winter. Experts recommend including these fruits in the daily diet to maintain health and uplift mood.
