In Ukraine, rental prices for apartments have skyrocketed: which regions are the most expensive.
Rental prices for housing in Ukraine are rising
The State Statistics Service reported an increase in rental prices for apartments in the most expensive regions of Ukraine. According to 'Hvilya', since the beginning of 2025, the average cost of renting one-room apartments in the country has increased by 3.1%, reaching 7,446 hryvnias per month as of March.
The highest rental prices are recorded in the western region of Ukraine. The highest charge is 11,888 hryvnias per month in the Transcarpathian region. Lviv region and Rivne region also made it to the top three. Kyiv ranks fourth in apartment rental prices at 9,777 hryvnias, which is 1.5% higher than at the beginning of the year.
The most affordable housing can be found in the southern regions of the country, such as Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions. In comparison, the overall inflation rate in Ukraine for the first four months of 2025 is 4.3%.
Recently, a noticeable increase in apartment prices was recorded in Ukraine, confirming the gradual rise in housing prices across the country.
