Senior soldier Valerii Zvozdetzky died on March 29, 2025, due to shelling. He was born in the village of Dobrynivtsi in the Zastavniv district and decided to become a volunteer on the front line, considering it his duty to protect his homeland. With a legal education, Valerii chose to serve on the front lines, helping displaced persons and local residents.

Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In 2022, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade under the callsign 'Tsvyk'. Unfortunately, Valerii died at the combat position, giving his life for Ukraine. His relatives remember him as a person who never complained, was proud of his service, and remained faithful to his duty. Valerii was buried in his native village, and Ukrainians honor the memory of heroes by laying flowers and lighting candles in their honor.

"Why should I be in the rear when others are fighting?" he reflected, "Valerii never complained about hardships, was proud to protect his family and Ukraine."
