Weather forecast in Ukraine for February 21: light snow in some cities

According to the link to Glavcom, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reports that on Friday, February 21, light snow is expected in some cities of Ukraine.

The weather in Ukraine will be determined by a high atmospheric pressure field and a cold air mass from the northeast. No precipitation is expected, except for light snow in the east and southeast.

Forecasters note that the night will be cold due to the dominance of clear weather. And during the day, the sun will pleasantly warm, relieving the frost.

Winds in most regions will be northeast, while in the western regions - southeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s.

Night temperatures will range from -9 to -14 degrees Celsius in most regions (possibly -15 to -18 degrees in the east and most western regions), and during the day - from -2 to -7 degrees Celsius. In the Transcarpathian region and Crimea, night temperatures will be -5 to -10 degrees Celsius, while during the day - from -3 degrees Celsius to +2 degrees Celsius.

In Kyiv region and the capital, changeable cloudiness without significant precipitation is expected. There may be icy conditions on the roads in places. Winds will be northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s. Night temperatures in the air will be from -9 to -14 degrees Celsius while during the day from -2 to -7 degrees Celsius. In Kyiv, night temperatures will be -10 to -12 degrees Celsius during the day - -4 to -6 degrees Celsius.

The Ukrhydrometcenter warns that from February 21 to 23, due to strengthening ice phenomena, a change in water levels with daily intensity may occur, but without the threat of negative consequences.

Currently, active ice formation processes are observed on the rivers and reservoirs of the country as an anticyclone with low air temperatures has established. However, the slightly thickened ice is still not strong enough, so it is dangerous to walk or stay on it.
