On Monday, August 4, an explosion occurred in a hotel in Lviv, prompting a call for rescuers. According to the Lviv Regional Police's Facebook report, the explosion was caused by the detonation of an electric scooter battery, which led to a fire. The incident took place around 12:30 PM when the police received a report of a fire in a nine-story hotel. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service promptly arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire, but four adults and two 14-year-old boys sustained injuries of varying severity. Medical personnel report that the condition of two patients injured in the explosion is stable. Both are receiving necessary medical assistance in hospitals. A woman was diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning, while a man, a courier service employee, suffered burns to his airways and body. Overall, the incident at the Lviv hotel has caused serious injuries for the victims, but medical specialists are providing them with necessary assistance and monitoring their health status.
