According to Novyny.live: Kyiv came under attack from Russian drones overnight on February 5, with explosions heard in the capital. The initial reports of blasts came in at 02:03. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, confirmed the presence of hostile drones over the Ukrainian capital, stating:
"Right now, there are enemy drones over the capital of Ukraine."
An air raid alert was declared by 02:08. Correspondents from Suspilne, Ukraine's public broadcaster, reported hearing the sounds of explosions in Kyiv. This assault follows a series of explosions in Kharkiv overnight on February 4, which resulted from missile attacks. Additionally, Russian forces struck Odesa the previous night, where one drone hit a residential building. These attacks are part of a wider pattern of intensified Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities, often targeting civilian areas.
