Closure of the Ravensthorpe railway station
According to The Sun: The Victorian railway station is closing for over two years due to network upgrades. Passengers using the railway are preparing for the station to be demolished. The Ravensthorpe station, located near Dewsbury, will be closed from Sunday, December 14, until summer 2028.
Travelers between Ravensthorpe and Dewsbury will have the option of using a bus for transportation instead of the railway.
This closure is part of a larger project to modernize the railway network, aimed at improving infrastructure and passenger services. It is expected that upon completion of the work, the station will have modern facilities and enhance travel comfort for residents and tourists.
