From 30 hryvnias: how prices for eggs differ in supermarkets and markets before Easter.
Prices for chicken eggs in Ukraine before Easter turned out to be different. According to an analysis by Minfin, egg prices have increased compared to March 2025.
Eggs 'Kvochka' cost an average of 72.80 UAH per dozen, which is slightly cheaper than last month. However, large packages of eggs from the producer 'Yasensvit' have become more expensive. A package of 18 eggs now costs 123.95 UAH, which is 4% more than in March. The price of a package of 30 eggs has risen from 215.34 UAH to 223.85 UAH.
There is also a noticeable difference in prices between retail chains. For example, in the Novus chain, 10 eggs 'Yasensvit' cost 70.99 UAH, while in Megamarket the price for this product is 78.20 UAH.
At the capital market 'Pochatok', eggs of various categories cost from 52 to 70 UAH per dozen, which is cheaper than in supermarkets. At the Odesa market 'Pochatok', the prices for giant eggs range from 52 to 58 UAH per dozen, while young and table eggs are sold from 30 to 58 UAH.
Thus, eggs can be found cheaper in markets than in supermarkets. Ukrainians are actively preparing for Easter and, considering the rise in egg prices, they are looking for more profitable offers.
At the capital market 'Pochatok' and the Odesa market, there are other products for the festive basket that may interest buyers. A few days before Easter, our compatriots will find interesting goods, which will affect their expenses.
