Power Outages: How Schedules Will Operate on September 24th.
Tomorrow, September 24th, no measures to limit electricity consumption are planned. This was announced by 'Ukrenergo'.
'It is better to use powerful electrical appliances during daylight hours – from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please, use electricity sparingly from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM,' the statement said.
The government claims that there will be no power supply issues in Ukraine until the end of October and in November. They also hope that this winter will pass almost without outages, as it did last year.
The State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development has started construction of the third level of passive protection at NEC 'Ukrenergo' substations, but international partners do not see the feasibility of funding such an expensive project until this technology is tested. Previously, former head of 'Ukrenergo' Volodymyr Kudrytskyi reported that Ukraine's energy facilities will have three levels of protection in the form of engineering fortifications in case of Russian attacks.
The European Commission is also working on increasing the maximum volume of electricity supply to Ukraine.
The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU) predicts that this winter, Ukrainians should expect power outages lasting from four to 18 hours per day.
