HIV, hepatitis, and tuberculosis can be controlled: Ukrainians are urged to take free testing.

European Testing Week for HIV and other infections
The Public Health Center reported that the European Testing Week is ongoing in Ukraine, aimed at raising awareness about socially significant diseases - HIV, viral hepatitis B (HBV) and C (HCV), tuberculosis (TB), and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) - their diagnosis, prevention, and treatment options.
According to the Center, Ukrainians can take free screenings for HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis, and STIs not only in healthcare facilities but also in mobile clinics operating in the regions.
'Testing for HIV, viral hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted infections is not just a recommended prevention but a responsible attitude towards one's own health and the health of loved ones. The earlier the infection is detected, the sooner treatment can begin,' the Center noted.
It was emphasized that infections can have an asymptomatic course. Specifically, when infected with HIV, hepatitis B and C, certain STIs, or tuberculosis, a person may not notice symptoms for a long Time and may not even suspect that they are ill, but can still transmit the infection to others.
The Center emphasized that modern medicine allows for the control, treatment, and even complete cure of infections. To obtain a rapid test for HIV and viral hepatitis, Ukrainians are encouraged to consult their doctor, non-governmental organizations, or healthcare facilities.
The Mantoux test, tuberculosis test, and STI screening can also be done at a family doctor or in mobile clinics operating in various regions of Ukraine. Information about the timetable of mobile clinics can be found on the social media pages of regional Public Health Centers.
Conducting testing at early stages helps prevent the further spread of infections and aids in maintaining health. It is important to timely check one's situation and monitor one's own health.
