Vinnytsia covered in snow: utility workers appeal to the city's residents.

Snow has fallen in Vinnytsia, roads and yards are being cleaned

Today, November 21, an extraordinary amount of snow has fallen in Vinnytsia. Since morning, the cleaning of sidewalks and roads in the city has begun. Municipal services and contracting companies are responsible for this work.

For this purpose, 34 units of machinery were deployed on the streets of the city and 14 special vehicles in the yard areas. About 180 workers and 34 units of special equipment participate in the snow clearing operations. Special attention is paid to the removal of snow masses on the roadways between lanes, as well as the clearing of pedestrian paths and stops.

The snow in the city started falling at two in the morning. In the morning, the first equipment went out to treat the roads with anti-ice mixtures, and then snow clearing began. Our workers focus on clearing sidewalks, yard paths, and exits from entrances, as well as areas around container sites,' said Vyacheslav Khilinsky, head of the maintenance department of the urban utilities and landscaping department of the Vinnytsia City Council.

Utility workers are also operating in the yard areas of the city since 5 am. They use 14 units of special equipment and over 190 janitors and other employees of management companies.

Currently, our main goal is to clear the snow. We are actively working on clearing the sidewalks, yard paths, and exits from entrances, as well as areas around container sites,' emphasized Vitaliy Misetsky, director of the housing department of the city council.

The organizers also call on the residents of Vinnytsia to cooperate and ask not to leave cars on the shoulders.

Recently, it was reported that Vinnytsia will not have a main Christmas tree in the central park for the first Time in the last three years. This symbolic decision was made in solidarity with all those at the front, as well as with families affected by the war.
