The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a bill to increase the childbirth allowance to 50,000 hryvnias in the first reading. According to the voting results, 290 deputies voted in favor of the initiative.
This was reported by Oleksiy Honcharenko.
The law also provides for assistance to pregnant women who do not have insurance, as well as support for one of the parents for the first year after the child's birth. The childcare allowance 'Yasla' will also be available for parents who returned to work after the child reached a certain age. The Cabinet of Ministers will determine the amounts of payments in the future.
It is important to note that various types of financial support for parents and children are provided in Ukraine, contributing to social assistance and improving the demographic situation in the country.
