In Lviv, a father attacked a child over a domestic conflict: police opened proceedings.

According to ТСН: In Lviv, law enforcement opened a criminal case against a man who attacked a minor boy during winter games.

Incident Circumstances

According to the investigation, the adult's aggression started due to a domestic conflict between children.

"As preliminary established by the employees of the police station No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1, the incident occurred on January 11 around 18:00 at an ice slide located on Mykolaychuka Street in Lviv. The father of one of the girls decided that the boy offended his daughter and decided to teach him a lesson by inflicting bodily harm,"

- police noted.

The Condition of the Victim

Doctors from one of the Lviv hospitals, where the boy's mother turned, found him to have a bruise and a nose injury. Information about the incident was reported to the emergency line 102. The victim has currently been assigned a forensic medical examination to determine the severity of the injuries.

Criminal Proceedings

On the fact of the attack, investigators of the territorial police unit initiated criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The police stated that the sanctions of the article provide for penalties in the form of a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, community service for up to two hundred hours, or corrective labor for up to one year.

Pre-Trial Investigation

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of the Halych District Prosecutor's Office. Police officers are conducting investigative actions to establish all circumstances of the attack.

Call for Witnesses

The boy's mother, Anna Peleshko, reported on social media that she is looking for witnesses of the incident at the slide.

"Unfortunately, among the witnesses there are currently only children. Therefore, I kindly ask everyone who was at the scene and saw what happened to contact me. Perhaps someone can recognize the attacker or provide testimony,"

- she wrote in her post.

Tragic Events in Other Regions

Let us remind you that in Transcarpathia, law enforcement is clarifying the circumstances of the death of a 7-year-old child in a comprehensive rehabilitation center for people with disabilities. Within the criminal proceedings, suspicions were presented to a pediatrician and the boy's mother, whose actions led to the child's removal from the family.

Also, in Vinnytsia region, a 10-year-old boy with disabilities died of hunger. The child had not received food for at least two months.

The continuation of the events in Lviv raises concerns in society, as violence against children remains one of the biggest problems in Ukraine. The incident that occurred in a playground once again highlights the need for greater attention to children's safety during outdoor play. It also encourages parents and educators to engage in dialogue about conflicts among children to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
