The enemy is trying to break through in one of the directions – Syrskyi.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy is trying to break through our defense, using their strongest assault units. Despite significant losses, the enemy has only minor success. Such information was provided by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, after working on the eastern front.
In the original text, the Commander-in-Chief has several quotes, so I will leave them in the original form, using the blockquote tag:
The enemy continues to concentrate efforts in the Pokrovsk direction, throwing its most experienced assault units into battle, trying to break through our defense in the direction of Zhelannoye, Novogrodovka, Pokrovsk
The Commander-in-Chief also spoke about the fighting in other directions:
- In the Kupyansk direction, the fighting continues, but we hold our positions in the area of Pishchane, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka.
- The Siversk direction is characterized by a difficult situation; the enemy actively attacks but unsuccessfully.
- In the area of the Chasov Yar canal and its approaches, fierce battles also continue, but the positions of the sides do not change. The enemy continues to attack our positions in the areas of New York, Pivdenne, and Zalizne.
- In the Kharkiv direction, in the area of Hlyboke and Vovchansk, battles also continue, but the enemy has no success and suffers significant losses.
Syrskyi emphasized that enemy offensive actions continue in all directions, but the success is minor. The positions of troops may change during active combat operations. In general, the situation remains stable.
The Commander-in-Chief also reported that counter-sabotage actions are being carried out by the police, the SBU, and the Military Law Enforcement Service. In the urban areas of the Toretsk direction, enemy sabotage groups are identified and neutralized.
In conclusion, Syrskyi emphasized the importance of his work in the brigades, where he analyzes the situation on the ground, assesses the effectiveness of combat missions, and provides assistance to commanders in organizing combat operations. He also expressed gratitude to the soldiers for their courage and willingness to defend Ukraine.
Let us recall that the defense forces shot down a Russian Mi-8 helicopter for the first Time using a drone.
