Russia lost about 40,000 servicemen on the front in Ukraine in October
According to Janek Kesselmann, the commander of the Estonian Military Intelligence Center, Russia has suffered heavy losses in the area of the city of Chasiv Yar and in the Lyman direction in the Donetsk region. Russian forces advanced thanks to massive bombings and the use of gliding bombs, kamikaze drones, and long-range weapons.
«This result is achieved through so-called «meat assaults», during which Russia ruthlessly expends its personnel. Russian losses are significant. This month, according to our assessments, they may be among the largest – about 40,000 servicemen wounded and killed», noted Kesselmann.
The Russian army also captured the settlement of Levadne, but measures are being taken to restore the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy inflicted many strikes, including missile strikes, airstrikes, and the use of kamikaze drones.
