The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the losses of Russian occupiers as of the morning of Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
Russia's losses in the war as of October 2, 2024
The Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine as of October 2 has lost:
- personnel - about 655560 (+1130) people,
- tanks - 8887 (+4) units,
- armored combat vehicles - 17579 (+32) units,
- artillery systems - 18869 (+14) units,
- MLRS - 1204 (+0) units,
- air defense systems - 963 (+0) units,
- aircraft - 369 (+0) units,
- helicopters - 328 (+0) units,
- operational-tactical UAVs - 16348 (+26),
- cruise missiles - 2613 (+3) units,
- ships/boats - 28 (+0) units,
- submarines - 1 (+0) unit,
- vehicle and fuel tanks - 25692 (+71) units,
- special equipment - 3318 (+4).

Occupants' fleet activity as of October 2
- In the Black Sea, there is one enemy ship carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to four missiles.
- There are no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, there are two enemy ships carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 24 missiles.
During the day, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait in the interests of the Russian Federation:
- into the Black Sea - one vessel that continued moving towards the Bosporus Strait;
- into the Sea of Azov - four vessels, two of which were moving from the Bosporus Strait.
The Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) of 1974 by disabling automatic identification systems (AIS).
Currently, it is the 952nd day of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
