Price increase of meat products in Ukraine
In May 2025, Ukrainians witnessed the rise in prices for meat products, which are a staple in many families' diets. According to the Minfin portal, beef, boiled pork, and bacon showed a noticeable price increase compared to April of the same year.
Beef: steady growth
In May, the price of beef for goulash averaged 339.33 hryvnias per kilogram, which is 2.69 hryvnias more than in April. The highest prices were recorded in the Megamarket chain, but you can find it cheaper at Metro. Beef ribs also became more expensive in May compared to the previous month.

Boiled pork: significant growth
The price of boiled pork 'Yatran' in May increased by 32.83 hryvnias per kilogram, which is almost 5.8% more than in April. The highest prices were recorded in the Novus chain, while you can buy this product cheapest at Megamarket. Prices for boiled pork with prunes also increased in May.
Bacon: moderate growth
The average price of bacon in May increased by approximately 2.1% compared to April. The highest price was recorded at Novus, while the lowest was at Megamarket.
It is worth noting that the price of cigarettes has also risen over the past year, which is an alarming trend for Ukrainians.
