Cadbury World in Birmingham: what the sweetest tour in the world looks like.

The journey to Cadbury World is best started with a handful of delicious chocolate.

According to The Sun: Upon arriving at the attraction in Birmingham with my husband Will and our children Eva, 11 years old, and Alex, 9 years old, we are greeted by staff handing out Dairy Milk bars.

Then we begin the trail where we follow the story of chocolate from the Aztec rainforests to the beginnings of Cadbury, brought to life with 3D scenes, interactive screens, and mini-exhibits.

The shaking chairs that recreate the sensation of cocoa beans in the Making Chocolate Story section elicited joyful screams.

Being close to chocolate sparks the best emotions.

The kids are enchanted as we show them how it is tempered in its melted state and watch the chocolatier at work.

We fried with chosen toppings – the kids chose melted and Oreo bits, while I panicked and mixed marshmallows with jelly beans.

We write our names in melted chocolate at the delicious area Have A Go and try tempering ourselves. Pure joy.

Exhibits of vintage packaging and life-sized animatronic revival of Cadbury ads on Advertising Avenue evoke nostalgia.

Rainbow of fun

We become competitors, marking ingredients with laser guns at the Chocolate Quest ride, and love the 4D cinema, diving into liquid chocolate and riding the Crunchie attraction.

We spot cool transportation vehicles and think… maybe we can trade our car for a giant cart with a cream egg on wheels?

However, we end as we started, loading up on chocolate at the gift shop while Eva comes face to face with the Fudge Bunny.

Then we head to the wonderful outdoor play area African Adventure, where the kids can burn off everything they ate while we quietly enjoy a few square chocolates.
