WP: North Korean Troops in Russia Bringing Global Conflict Closer over 'World Island'.
Experts Warn of Threat from 'Union of Eurasian Dictatorships'
Experts warn of a serious threat from the 'union of Eurasian dictatorships' formed by Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea. Specialists assert that this cooperation is of considerable magnitude and may provoke negative consequences for the international order.
One of the experts, Nicholas Eberstadt, in his article in the Washington Post, notes that the loyalty of countries to one another in military affairs and arms supply is unprecedented and compares it to the Axis powers' cooperation during World War II.
In particular, experts emphasize that Russia significantly benefits from North Korean military assistance, and up to half of the ammunition used by Russian forces in Ukraine over the past two years may have been produced in North Korea.
Experts also warn of the possible deployment of up to 50,000 North Korean troops in the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, which could significantly alter the balance of forces and impact the course of the war.
Thus, experts urge the West to pay attention to a range of conflicts that intersect with the interests of the 'union of Eurasian dictatorships' and see them as a singular opposition against this alliance. They stress that failure in one conflict could lead to new failures in others.
