Ukrainians will have to pay an additional fee starting June 1, 2025
According to OBOZ.UA, starting June 1, 2025, owners of large residential properties will be required to pay an additional fee - a tax on real estate. Owners of spacious apartments and private houses have already begun paying property tax this year, the amount of which is determined by local self-government bodies.
Housing with an area of more than 60 square meters, if it concerns apartments, or more than 120 square meters, if it concerns houses, will be taxed. The tax object may also include the total area of both types of housing, which exceeds 180 square meters. Penalties for non-payment are limited by law, but the tax rate can reach 1.5% of the minimum wage.
