Frontline Situation

According to UATV: Over the past day, 124 artillery strikes, two firefights, and several attacks were recorded across the front. Russian occupying forces concentrated their main assaults on the Pokrovsk and Konstantynivka axes, with a total of 118 combat engagements reported. This sustained pressure is part of a broader pattern of Russian offensive operations in eastern Ukraine.

On March 5, 2023, fighting intensified, particularly on the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk axes. Among the bombardments, four were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems. The enemy also conducted four airstrikes, deploying 11 guided aerial bombs. The day's combat included two firefights, one assault on defensive positions on the South-Slobozhanske axis, and three attacks each on the Kupiansk and Lyman axes.

Enemy Activity

The enemy demonstrated particularly high activity on the Pokrovsk axis, where 22 assault actions were recorded. On the Konstantynivka axis, they carried out 15 attacks. Furthermore, seven attacks occurred on the Alexandrovsk axis, and 14 on the Huliaipole axis. Two assaults were registered on the Prydniprovske axis. Meanwhile, no signs of offensive group formations were detected on the Volyn or Polissia axes, suggesting a concentration of Russian efforts elsewhere.

Consequently, the situation on the front remains tense, with active combat operations ongoing across several key sectors.

The increase in combat intensity, especially around Pokrovsk and Konstantynivka, indicates the conflict's continuation and the adversary's attempts to strengthen its positions. The absence of offensive group formations on the Volyn and Polissia axes may imply the enemy is focusing on other critical areas, necessitating close monitoring by Ukrainian forces. The situation remains dynamic, and its future course will depend on the strategic decisions made by both sides in the conflict.
