15-Year Prison Term for Dnipro Terror Attack
According to Novyny.live: A man has been convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison for a terrorist bombing in Dnipro. The attack, which occurred on December 14, 2024, near a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRC) checkpoint, killed one soldier and injured three others—a TRC employee and two police officers. Such attacks on military and administrative targets have been a grim feature of the ongoing war. The court also ordered the confiscation of the perpetrator's property.
The Chechelnytskyi District Court of Dnipro delivered the verdict on December 26, 2022. According to investigators, the perpetrators had also prepared a syringe-based explosive device for a second planned attack before their arrest by law enforcement on December 17, 2022. This case highlights the persistent security challenges faced by Ukrainian cities far from the front lines.
