The US supports the theory that the Covid-19 virus originated from a Chinese lab

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that he supports the theory that the Covid-19 virus spread across the world due to a leak from a laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan. He emphasized this in an interview with journalist Catherine Herridge.

Most likely, there were experiments with the virus in China, someone caught it in the laboratory, then it spread through China and then around the world, Rubio noted.

Chinese virologists discovered a new coronavirus in bats that can infect humans in the same way as Covid-19. This new strain is called Hku5-CoV.

The CIA also believes that the coronavirus pandemic could have started due to a laboratory leak in Wuhan. Earlier, the US claimed that it did not have enough information to confirm this version, but now lawmakers are providing arguments in its favor.

According to American legislators, the coronavirus has biological characteristics that are not found in nature. They also point out that all cases of Covid-19 only became possible through direct contact with humans, although during pandemics, several transmission routes are usually recorded.

Moreover, there is information that US President Donald Trump may demand large compensation from China for the coronavirus. This has led to discussions following the WHO report on the origin of Covid-19.
