According to Novyny.live: A sudden warm spell and rapid snowmelt have caused the Tisza River to rise sharply, eroding the supports of a major gas pipeline near the village of Hetinia. This damage poses a direct threat to the gas supply for approximately 5,800 customers across 17 settlements, who now face potential outages. This incident highlights the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to extreme weather events in the region.
In response, an operational headquarters has been activated in the oblast. A special emergency session of the regional commission for technological and environmental safety has also been convened, underscoring the severity of the situation.
