Russia has for the first time proposed a new approach to resolving the conflict in Ukraine after US President Donald Trump decided to resume arms supplies to the Ukrainian side.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported this after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Malaysia.
According to information from Rubio, the negotiations were constructive. Washington expects a clear plan from Russia regarding the end of the war in Ukraine.
'President Trump is disappointed that Russia is not showing greater flexibility in addressing the issue in Ukraine', the Secretary of State emphasized.
He also noted that the Russian side is proposing a new approach to resolving the conflict but is not disclosing detailed details.
'While this may not be a panacea, it is a concept that I will convey to the president today', Rubio added.
Currently, it is worth noting that the ASEAN annual forum is taking place in Malaysia, where US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Additionally, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed readiness for a third round of negotiations with Russia at a conference in Rome and named the conditions for this.
