The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on limiting the powers of NABU and SAP yesterday. This law has already come into force, reports 'Holos Ukrainy'.
Text of the law on limiting NABU and SAP
According to the official newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada 'Holos Ukrainy', the published law No. 12414 on NABU and SAP came into effect on July 23. Everyone interested can familiarize themselves with the full text of the law.
Today, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the law on limiting the powers of NABU and SAP, which provides for the subordination of these bodies to the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed this law, stating in his video address that NABU and SAP will operate without external influence.
The signed law on limiting the powers of NABU and SAP establishes new rules for the functioning of these bodies to ensure their independence from external influences and to maintain their effectiveness in the fight against corruption in Ukraine.Read also
