«The Iron General». Zaluzhnyi's reaction to the release of the book about him became known.

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi made minimal edits in the book about himself but did not inform the author whether he liked the manuscript. This was stated by the author of the book «The Iron General. Lessons of humanity» Lyudmyla Dolhonovska in an interview with «Glavkom».

Dolhonovska said that Zaluzhnyi read the book a year ago and made minimal changes, such as correcting names and dates.

The author emphasized that Zaluzhnyi did not coordinate anything in the book, including the writing plan and accents. «All of this is mine, I did not get it approved», said Dolhonovska.

She also said that Zaluzhnyi thought the book would only describe the period of their joint work. However, while writing the material, she decided to explore the formation of the general and share the «lessons of humanity».

According to Dolhonovska, Zaluzhnyi's life had many trials and temptations through which he could have left his military career, but he went through all these stages and became the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.

The book «The Iron General. Lessons of humanity» authored by Dolhonovska was released on August 22 and reveals some new aspects of Zaluzhnyi's life and views on war, politics, and life in general.

In July, Zaluzhnyi began performing his duties as Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
