Zaporizhzhya NPP on the Verge of Blackout.
As a result of the Russian attack on a main substation, one of the power lines of the Zaporizhzhya NPP in the temporarily occupied territory was de-energized. As a result, the station is again under the threat of a blackout. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
«Another act of Russian terrorism poses a threat of an accident at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, which is under occupation. We demand the immediate implementation of the IAEA resolution and the return of the NPP under Ukrainian control. Safe operation of the Zaporizhzhya NPP is only possible under Ukrainian control», said the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko.
Energy workers are working to eliminate the consequences of the enemy shelling in order to restore normal power supply to the Zaporizhzhya NPP as soon as possible.
It is worth noting that the IAEA recommends refraining from restarting the reactors of the Zaporizhzhya NPP while the war is ongoing.
Let us remind you that one of the substations near the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, which is temporarily under occupation by Russian troops, was likely attacked by a drone. IAEA experts reported the presence of explosions.
As it is known, Russian occupiers use the territory of the Zaporizhzhya NPP as a base for training FPV drone pilots.
It should be noted that the IAEA adopted a resolution at the general conference demanding that Russia immediately leave the territory of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power station and de-occupy it.
