Russian occupiers have plundered the 'Askania-Nova' reserve in the Kherson region
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, stated that Russian occupiers have plundered the 'Askania-Nova' reserve in the Kherson region, so it effectively no longer exists. He stated this in an interview with 'RBC-Ukraine'.
Prokudin confirmed the information that Russian occupiers hunted the animals in the Kherson reserve and destroyed it.
«Yes, it is true, they are destroying it. So one can say that the reserve no longer exists. They plundered it completely», – emphasized the Head of the Regional Military Administration.
According to the latest information, Prokudin noted, the Russians are taking the animals to Crimea and Russia.
It is worth noting that Russian invaders took several specimens of Chapman's zebra, American bison, Przewalski's horses, and David's deer from the Askanian zoo. This was reported by the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ruslan Strelets.
Earlier reports indicated that Russian occupation forces were stealing animals from the Kherson reserve 'Askania-Nova' and transporting them to the Krasnodar 'Safari Park'.
By the way, an occupation administration has been established in the 'Askania-Nova' biosphere reserve located in the Kherson region.
