Border checkpoint Palanka-Mayaki-Udobne closed: what is happening and what traffic jams are there.
Today, August 19, the Palanka-Mayaki-Udobne checkpoint has temporarily suspended its operations due to investigative measures. Traffic jams are appearing on the way to the checkpoint to Romania near the border villages.
This was reported by Novyny.LIVE from the cartographic web service Google Maps and from the message of the border guards of the Republic of Moldova.
Traffic jams to Moldova
According to the cartographic service, there are currently no traffic jams at the checkpoint in Reni. As for 'Starokozache - Tudora', there are occasionally queues of cars, but they are not significant.
The operation of the 'Palanka-Mayaki-Udobne' checkpoint has been completely suspended for the time being. The reason is that a dangerous item was found in the luggage of a citizen of Moldova traveling on the regular bus Chisinau - Odessa. Therefore, travelers are advised to use other checkpoints.
Traffic jams to Romania
At the nearest ferry crossing point 'Orlivka - Isakcha', there are currently no traffic jams. No jams have been recorded in the area of the Kofa Canal either. However, there are traffic jams near the border villages of Krynychky and Broska. The trip from Odessa will take a little over 4 hours.
Traffic jams at the borders of Moldova and Romania complicate passage through checkpoints. Be prepared for possible delays on the road and follow updates on the border status.
