A group of criminals organized a drug supply network for VIP clients in Odesa, Kyiv, and Dnipro, earning a monthly profit of half a million dollars. However, law enforcement authorities exposed them - 11 individuals were detained in three cities who may face imprisonment.

According to information from the National Police of Ukraine, the suspects used volunteer IDs, forged passes, and documents from various institutions for drug supply. They shipped drugs by mail in shampoo bottles, with the price for a gram of cocaine being 250 dollars with delivery during curfew and 200 dollars at other times. During nighttime hours, the criminals sold up to 2,000 doses of cocaine per month, generating almost half a million dollars in profit.

Details of the case

The organizer of the scheme managed the actions of their 'subordinates' via phone. They created a communication network in messengers, where they promised uninterrupted drug delivery.

The police detained 11 members of the organization in Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipro. In addition, drugs, weapons, documents, cash in Ukrainian and foreign currencies totaling over 1.6 million hryvnias, 53 mobile phones, and 65 bank cards were seized.

What punishment threatens

The suspects have been informed of the charges under articles for creating and managing a criminal organization and illegal drug trafficking. They could face up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Recall that recently we had news about the sentencing of a woman from Odesa in Bali for drugs to the death penalty, as well as about a soldier who was imprisoned for trafficking psychotropic substances.
