Zelensky increased funding for combat brigades: details of new decisions of the Headquarters

On Monday, August 11, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky ordered a meeting of the Headquarters. The head of state proposed to increase funding for combat units and made several other important decisions.

The leader of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

Zelensky on important decisions

'I held a meeting of the Headquarters. It was about the issues raised by our warriors at the front and which I instructed the officials to work on. There are decisions', - shared the head of state.

Thus, among the decisions made were the following:

  • Support for units with equipment, which can now be purchased directly for combat brigades.

'There will be an opportunity to purchase both new and used equipment. This was important for combat units. The government will officially formalize this decision, and this month the brigades will have such an opportunity', - explained Zelensky.

  • Increase funding for combat units to ensure their more effective operation.

'New rules provide for the issuance of 7 million hryvnias to each battalion participant in the war, which will significantly strengthen their financial capabilities', - said the president.

  • Simplification and digitization of property write-off procedures for unit commanders.

It was also announced that the award procedure will be reformed to reduce bureaucracy and simplify the process.

Zelensky emphasized that the Ministry of Defense will develop specific proposals and implement changes in the near future.

'Other issues discussed with the soldiers were also considered. We remember their needs and wishes. Decisions will be made soon', - summarized the president.

It is important to note that on the same day, Zelensky spoke about the situation at the front and again expressed outrage about the actions of the Russian Federation.
