The U.S. Secretary of Defense Ridiculed the Russian Air Defense After the Operation in Venezuela.
According to ТСН: U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth critically commented on the effectiveness of Russian air defense systems that were supposed to protect the skies over Venezuela.
He made this statement during his speech at the Newport News Shipbuilding Yard in Virginia.
"Nearly 200 of our Americans entered the center of Caracas... It seems that this Russian air defense didn't perform so well, did it?"Hegseth said.
The Minister emphasized that the capture of the Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro occurred without any casualties among American special forces.
Recall that on January 3, Donald Trump ordered strikes on Venezuela.
Later, the President of the United States reported that American military forces, together with his wife, extricated the Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro from the country.
The position of the American leadership regarding Venezuela remains aggressive. It is known that the situation in the country continues to be tense, and the international community is closely monitoring the developments. Successful actions by the U.S. could have far-reaching consequences for the region and relations with Russia.
