Zelensky on New Strikes Against Russia: What Targets Are Set for the Flamingo Missiles.
Zelensky Plans New Attacks on Russian Territory
According to inkorr.com: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans to carry out new strikes on Russian territory in cooperation with the SBU and the SVR. The targets have already been confirmed by the French publication Le Figaro. The Ukrainian cruise missile FP-5 'Flamingo,' which has been used nine times in combat operations, is considered one of the best in its class. Its warhead is twice as powerful as the American Tomahawk, making the 'Flamingo' an extraordinarily effective weapon.
Successful Use of the 'Flamingo' Missile
Iryna Terekh, the chief technical officer of Fire Point, confirmed the effectiveness of this missile. President Zelensky also addressed the public on Telegram, outlining priority targets for 'long-range sanctions' against Russia. He emphasized the importance of the 'Flamingo' production program despite serious technological and financial difficulties.
Currently, Fire Point manufactures several 'Flamingo' missiles daily and plans the development and release of ballistic missiles FP-7 and FP-9. This will be a logical continuation of Ukraine's missile program. It was also recently reported that Ukrainian forces struck the 'Oreshnik' territory in Russia, and Baby reported successful attacks on Russian oil refineries.
The preparation of new long-range strikes against Russia is part of Ukraine's strategy in response to the escalating situation in the region. The development of cruise missiles and their effective use could significantly affect the future course of the conflict.
