Zelensky to Increase Military Funding: Which Brigades Will Receive the Funds.
Increase in Funding for Military Corps
According to inkorr.com: On November 4, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Pokrovsk direction, where he ordered an increase in funding for the military corps involved in combat on important front lines. This information was announced by the head of state in his evening video address dedicated to the 1350th day of the war.
At meetings with commanders of units defending Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Dobropillia in the Donetsk region, representatives of various military parts were present, including the First Corps of the National Guard 'Azov', the 4th Brigade of Operational Purpose of the National Guard 'Rubizh', the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of Airborne Assault Troops, and the 25th Separate Airborne Sich Brigade. There were also commanders of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
'Many details, but the main point: there must be more drones – all types of drones – and independence in drone production, and our own independence and reliable partners of Ukraine,' Zelensky emphasized.
The President noted that direct funding for brigades allows them to purchase and manufacture necessary equipment independently. He also promised to simplify procedures for those helping the army, including organizing the production of drops and explosives.
Support for the Military and Ukraine's Movement Towards the EU
Zelensky emphasized the temporary retreat of Russian troops in the capture of Ukrainian cities in Donetsk region, which indicates the effectiveness of the Ukrainian military. He also noted the receipt of a report from the European Commission on Ukraine's progress towards EU membership during the war.
'Ukraine is ready to open clusters, a European solution is needed for this,' the President concluded, thanking everyone who supports the country.
President Zelensky's visit to the front was marked by the intention to increase funding for the military corps participating in battles in the Pokrovsk direction. This underscores the necessity of developing domestic drone and military equipment production, as well as the important support for Ukraine on its path to joining the European Union. Plans to enhance military technology and equipment aim to improve the efficiency of military operations in eastern Ukraine.
