Zelensky is ready to meet with Trump and Putin in Budapest: details of the statement.
Meeting in Budapest
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in an interview with NBC News his readiness to meet with the presidents of the USA and Russia, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, in Budapest. He called on Trump to increase pressure on Putin, describing him as 'contemporary'.
'Putin is something like that, he is stronger than HAMAS,' Zelensky noted.
Ukraine's position in the conflict
Zelensky also characterized Putin as a 'terrorist', stating his readiness for direct dialogue with him. The President of Ukraine emphasized that the country will not lose this war and insisted on the need to increase pressure on Russia to achieve a just peace.
'I understood Trump's public message as a call to end this war, starting from the front line... Because he is a terrorist,' the President of Ukraine stated.
Prospects for peace talks
Volodymyr Zelensky expressed optimism about the possibility of meeting with Trump and Putin in Budapest and commented on Trump’s reaction to Putin's call. He emphasized that Ukraine will not yield to pressure, and pressure on Russia will only increase to achieve peace.
Thus, Ukraine's position remains firm: neither peace nor negotiations can be achieved at the expense of giving up its principles. The Ukrainian side hopes for international support in the fight against aggression, as the efforts of the global community can play a decisive role in ending the conflict.
