Urgency to Step Up Diplomatic Efforts
Additionally, while stopping at the Chisinau airport, the Ukrainian president discussed details of the call with representatives of the U.S. president. “We must use every available opportunity to intensify diplomacy and bring the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine closer,” Zelenskyy added, stressing the need to ramp up diplomatic efforts to achieve peace.
This phone conversation marks a critical step in sustaining the international coalition against Russian aggression, especially as the G7 brings together the world’s leading economies. Coordinated actions among Ukraine, France, and the United States can play a key role in shaping a strategy for continued diplomatic pressure on Russia. Zelenskyy’s push to revitalize diplomacy reflects a strong commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict and preventing further escalation of violence.
