Zelensky in Zaporizhzhia: emphasized defense and awarded soldiers.
According to inkorr.com: During my working visit to the Zaporizhzhia region, a meeting was held with the military command. The main focus was on the operational situation in the south, tasks for brigades and regiments, and military measures aimed at stabilizing the situation around Rivnopillia. There was also discussion about strengthening the Stepnohirske direction with engineering measures and evacuating civilians from certain territories. A particularly important issue was ensuring air defense for roads, logistics, and critical infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. At the end, a report on the operational situation in the Pokrovskyi area was presented.
Meeting with soldiers
During the meeting with the servicemen of the 17th Army Corps, I expressed my gratitude for their service and dedication to Ukraine, presenting state awards. Eastern Ukraine is a true challenge, especially in the Orikhiv direction, where the situation has always been complicated. I sincerely thanked all soldiers, officers, and sergeants for their defense of this direction, the Zaporizhzhia region as a whole, and the city of Zaporizhzhia, which has great strategic significance. Their courage makes the city alive, and I express my deep gratitude for that.
Support and recognition of the merits of soldiers defending our country is one of the priorities. Reminding them of their important role is the goal of every leader. In the current conditions, when the defense situation remains tense, such support becomes particularly valuable.
