Ukraine Prepares a Powerful Response as Zelensky Reveals Russia's Daily Drone and Missile Count.
Volodymyr Zelensky's Statement on the Military Situation in Ukraine
According to Espreso.tv: Russia is launching roughly 650 drones and between 35 and 100 missiles every single day, President Volodymyr Zelensky disclosed on June 9. In contrast, Ukraine currently operates around 300 to 350 defensive systems to counter these attacks. This stark imbalance underscores the escalating aerial threat faced by the country.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is scaling up its capabilities to mount a proportional response. “We have about 300, 350 systems in use now, and we will reach a number that allows us to fully answer them,” the president stated.
“If there are 600 drones and missiles, they will feel this war just as we do. But they will feel it at home.”
He also highlighted that in May, Russia deployed 600 drones and 90 missiles during a single attack on Kyiv, with a total of 690 aerial assault systems in the air at that time. Meanwhile, analysts note that Ukraine is gaining momentum on the battlefield, with new drones now capable of striking Russian supply lines deep in operational territory.
Outlook for Ukraine's Defense Capabilities
The president's remarks highlight the growing intensity of the conflict and the urgent need for Ukraine to adapt its military resources to emerging challenges. As Russia continues to heavily rely on unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles, Ukraine is planning to bolster its defense posture—a critical step for national security.
This situation also signals an escalation in hostilities and a heightened tempo of armed confrontations, which could have significant implications for regional stability.
