Zelensky on negotiations: Why successes on the front are key to peace.
According to ТСН: The destruction of the occupiers, the defense of Ukrainian positions, and the execution of combat missions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine are all important aspects for conducting negotiations that serve Ukraine's interests.
This opinion was expressed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in his address.
The head of state emphasized that Russian propaganda actively spreads false information about Ukraine's supposed inability to defend itself. As Zelensky noted, the daily successes of the Ukrainian army and special services indicate a completely different reality.
“Right now, every destroyed Russian occupant, every replenishment of our exchange fund for Ukraine, every Russian assault that has been stopped by Ukrainians, every destroyed piece of Russian equipment, every one of our diplomatic strikes—these are arguments that Ukraine is worth supporting, that we should be pressing not Ukraine, but Russia—the sole reason the war is dragging on.”
Zelensky also reported on negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine, the USA, and leading European countries, at which a 28-point plan for ending the war was discussed.
As a result of the consultations, an updated version of the ceasefire document in Ukraine was prepared. The final decision and signing of this document are to take place after a personal meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump.
It is important that Ukraine's and its allies' active diplomatic efforts can open up new opportunities for resolving the conflict. The decisions made in upcoming negotiations will determine not only the situation on the front but also the stability of the region as a whole.
