Renewed Strikes on Ukraine and a Surge in Russian Oil Sales
According to UATV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has raised the alarm over a fresh wave of Russian attacks involving drones and guided bombs, while also highlighting an increase in Russian oil exports due to weakened sanctions enforcement. 'Revenue gives Russia a sense of impunity and the ability to sustain the war. That is why pressure must continue and sanctions must work.' Volodymyr Zelensky
Zelensky also called for more decisive action to curb war financing:
'Tankers that fuel the war budget can and must be stopped and blocked, not simply let go.'These statements underscore Ukraine's ongoing efforts to resist aggression and its appeals to the international community to maintain and strengthen sanctions against Russia.
This report highlights the dire situation in Ukraine, where bombardments persist alongside mounting challenges linked to funding Russian aggression. The importance of international support and the preservation of sanctions against Russia is becoming increasingly critical, as the sanctions regime can significantly limit Moscow's ability to continue military operations. President Zelensky's calls for stepped-up global action emphasize the need for a collective effort to intensify pressure on the aggressor.
