Zelensky: the most difficult issue is territory
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the most challenging issue during the negotiations will be territory. He emphasized that Ukraine will defend its territories to the maximum extent.
The issue of territories will be the most difficult. I feel it, we understand it. This will be a challenge, and we will defend Ukraine to the maximum. It will not be easy for us.
Zelensky also noted that U.S. President Donald Trump understands that Ukraine is not an occupied territory of Russia. He also commented on the conversation with Trump regarding the security of infrastructure.
We talked about the security of civilian and energy infrastructure. I told Trump that it would be preferable for us to prepare a list of which objects cannot be subjected to Russian long-range weapons. This could be a railway, a port. We know all the objects that Russia attacks.
Recall that earlier Trump called the conversation with Zelensky very good. He also agreed on Russia's and Ukraine's requests and needs.
After the conversation with Zelensky, Trump held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
